Brussels, the proud capital of Europe...
BRUSSELS (EJP)---An exhibition displaying the works of 40 Israeli designers in Brussels was disrupted on Thursday by pro-Palestinian demonstrators.
Some 20 demonstrators gathered outside the Pierre Bergé & Associés gallery on the Grand Sablon Square in the heart of the Belgian capital where the official opening of the exhibition PromiseDesign 2011 was taking place. Policemen had taken positions at the entrance of the gallery to ensure security for visitors.
Bearing Palestinian flags, the protesters chanted "Israel fascist" and "Zionist terrorists." Many of them wore green t-shirts calling for a boycott of Israel. Some protesters apparently managed to enter the hall of the Israeli exhibition where they started to shout anti-Israeli slogans. They were quickly removed by police.

Antisemitic book is best-seller in France
An antisemitic book by French "intellectual" and "philosopher" Alain Soral is a best-seller in France and is being sold in many reputable bookshops (some owned by Jews) in France, in Switzerland and in Belgium. Soral shares Gilad Atzmon's ("a very brave man") fulsome views on Zionism and the Jews.
FNAC (an international entertainment retail chain offering cultural and electronic products founded in 1954 and the largest retailer of its kind in France) indicates on its website that there are "[...] those who resist and save the honour of their generation. We bet Alain Soral will be one of them." Can one be more cynical than this?
Below the translation of a short passage in the book (p. 134):
"Under the control of Trotskyists in Europe they have rallied [global liberalism] under the name of 'libertarian liberalism' in Europe and 'neocons' in the United States. They are a bunch of social-traitors whose names bring to mind straightaway those on the Schindler's List."
Interestingly, the National Library of France tags the book under the following subjects: "Hegemony, World, Western Civilization, Economics, History" but not a word about "Jews", the main topic of the book.

Strauss-Kahn expected to be targeted for being a Jew in French presidential race
"Regardless of the anti-Semitic attack, those words are a true media lynching of a person whose case was dismissed by justice."
In April, before the sex scandal that put a stop to his political career, Dominique Strauss-Kahn told French journalists, during an informal chat about his candidancy for the French presidential elections, that he had three weak spots: his wealth, his relationship with women and his being Jewish ("judéité", the term he used). He indicated that his and his wife's, former journalist Anne Sinclair, main concern was that he would be targated during the presidential campaign for being Jewish. This is extremely disturbing but did not dampen high hopes for becoming the next French President...
It now turns out that there was a debate on a French radio about the support Strauss-Kahn had received from the "Jewish lobby". There is a widespread belief that a Jewish lobby controls France and the world. Alain Soral has published a deeply antisemitic book which claims precisely this in the most brutal terms - his book has had a considerable success and is sold in the best libraries in France - some of them owned by Jews - it just seems to be normal! After all President François Mitterrand also complained of the power of the Jewish lobby and General de Gaulle famously referred to the Jews as an "arrogant and domineering people".

The High Council for Audiovisual (CSA), the authority which regulates radio and television stations in France, is looking into possible anti-Semitic excesses in a program aired by a private radio, Sud Radio, which could lead to sanctions.
After a working group reviewed the case, the CSA decided to meet in plenary session on Wednesday afternoon to decide whether to take action.
On August 22, in a program on freedom of speech, a listener declared that Dominique Strauss-Kahn was "supported by the Jews", suggesting that a "Jewish lobby" would have facilitated the dismissal which was granted to the former director general of the International Monetary Fund on suspicion of attempted rape on Nafissatou Diallo, an employee of the Sofitel hotel in New York.
The same day, in another program, host-journalist Eric Mazet continued on the same topic of "Jewish lobby" support for Strauss-Kahn and encouraged listeners to call the station and give their opinion.

Is Germany a true friend of Israel?
Next month, Chancellor Merkel faces the easiest human rights test in Germany’s post-war history. The Germans can continue to embarrass themselves by supporting a UN-sponsored anti-Semitic lynch mob in the guise of a rally against racism, or they can walk out.

German parliament continues to court Israel’s most despicable foes in Tehran, by Benjamin Weinthal
Next month, New York will host an event marking the 10th anniversary of another dark hour, the notorious UN-sponsored Durban world conference on racism, which became a platform for some of the world’s worst human rights abusers to call for Israel’s destruction.
On September 22, the UN will welcome representatives from 186 of the 193 member countries for the third meeting of the Durban process. At the second Durban conference in Geneva in 2009, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad denied the Holocaust and proclaimed the Jewish state “illegitimate” and “criminal.”
He called for the obliteration of Israel and Zionism, declaring "Governments must be encouraged and supported in their fights at eradicating this barbaric racism. Efforts must be made to put an end to Zionism." Iran's despot used his UN stage to voice his oft-repeated denial of the Holocaust, saying that Israel was "created on the pretext of Jewish suffering from World War II." Sadly, but unsurprisingly, he is expected to speak again next month in New York.
While the United States, Canada, Italy, Australia, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands and naturally Israel have declined to attend an event whose participants call for the elimination of a UN member, Germany will send its diplomats to the third Durban conference, as its parliament continues to court Israel’s most despicable foes in Tehran.

Protestant Church Said Eichmann Was 'Kind-Hearted'
Records Reveal Warm Words for Holocaust Organizer
Source: Spiegel
Protestant church officials in Austria and Germany lobbied the West German government to try to help Adolf Eichmann, one of the main organizers of the Holocaust, after his arrest by Israeli agents in 1960. One church leader described Eichmann as "fundamentally decent" and "kind-hearted."
The German Protestant Church put in a good word for Adolf Eichmann, the chief logistics organizer of the Holocaust, after his arrest in Argentina by Israeli agents in 1960, SPIEGEL has learned.
The Superintendent of the Protestant Church for Upper Austria, Wilhelm Mensing-Braun, based in the Austrian city of Linz were Eichmann was born, wrote a letter to the foreign affairs department of the Evangelical Church in Germany in Frankfurt claiming that the mass murderer "had a fundamentally decent disposition," was "kind-hearted," and was characterized by "great helpfulness."
At that time, Eichmann was about to be put on trial in Jerusalem for crimes against humanity.
Braun went on that he could not imagine that the former SS officer "would ever have been capable of cruelty or criminal acts."
Eichmann's family had enlisted Mensing-Braun's help because they wanted Eichmann to be tried by an international court rather than an Israeli one.
Lobbying for Eichmann
Bishop Hermann Kunst, the representative of the Evangelical Church at the West German government, passed the letter on to the German foreign ministry with the note that the assessment was "at least interesting."

Swiss Muslims denounce islamophobia with infamous yellow badge
Recently, the Swiss were invited to enjoy a BBQ and a beer while killing Jews. Now this.
A Muslim radical group has launched a poster campaign (above) to denounce rampant islamophobia is Switzerland.
The campaign is also approved by moderate Muslims. "It is true that as Muslims we feel we have become the new scapegoats", says Lucia Dahlab, vice-President of the Union of Muslim Organizations in Geneva.
"A parallel with the discrimination suffered by Jews in the 1930s is made here and I do not say otherwise. Now playing with a symbol like the yellow star is inevitably difficult. But is it not a means to make people think? I think we have entered an era where communication campaigns focus on shocking people. As the UDC campaigns show. So yes, I would campaign with a more nuanced approach. But do we still have a choice?"

French FM forbids diplomats to attend inauguration of Jerusalem tramway
France is probably the most hostile of all European countries to Israel and is certainly not free of antisemitism (the murder of two young Jewish men Ilan Hamili and Sebastien Selam, the Al-Durah affair, Dieudonné, Faurisson, Soral, the anti-Zionist party, Le Pen, biaised school books and of course Charles De Gaulle (Churchill would never said that) who declared at a press conference in 1967 that "the Jewish people, self-confident and domineering" - 20 years after the Holocaust... and President François Mitterrand's complaint about the power of the "Jewish lobby" etc etc).
JSS News reports that French staff in Israel affiliated to the Quai d'Orsay have been formally forbidden by French Foreign Minister Alain Juppé (also known for his anti-Israel penchant) to attend the inauguration of the Jerusalem tramway.
Surely other European diplomats in Israel will have received similar orders.
